Love Letter From God

For the Lord your God is living among you.
    He is a mighty savior.
He will take delight in you with gladness.
With his love, he will calm all your fears.
He will rejoice over you with joyful songs.

Zephaniah 3:17

Love Letter From God

If you’ve ever joined us for the 10-Day Do Something Challenge, this month’s Scripture Cultivations will sound very familiar.

The Love Letter from Abba comes from the final day of the challenge. Since I didn’t provide a Scripture Cultivations list as part of the challenge, this will be a perfect companion for it.

For those that have never participated in or heard of the 10-Day Do Something Challenge, you can find out more HERE.

Okay, now that we’re all on the same page, let’s get back to the Love Letter from Abba.

You’ve likely heard of these and maybe even read a few different ones. Brandon (my husband) and I wrote this one just for those in the Figs Community after much time in prayer. May it be a blessing to you.

As you read (listen), let the words wash over you. Let them really sink in to water the deepest places in your soul.

My child I know everything about you, I took great care in creating you and I made you perfect, my masterpiece. I created you in my own image, you are my child and I love you. I think about you all the time for you are so precious to me.

You can trust me with your heart, I am your safe place. You can trust me with your dreams, I have good plans for your future, and I put those desires in your heart.

Come close to me and I will come close to you. I long to

lavish you with love and pour my favor out on you. I love giving you the perfect gifts at the perfect time. My love for you knows no end You are my own special treasure.

I delight in you, and I rejoice over you with singing, I so love our games of hide and seek. When you look for me, I will always let you find me, and when you find me, I will tell you great and mighty things.
My child, I love you. I am your father and you; you are my precious daughter.
Love, Abba

If you’d like a copy of this letter along with the verses we used in writing it, you can snag this month’s Scripture Cultivations. After you download them, here are a few ways you can use them in your devotional life.

  1. Rewrite the letter put your name in the places that say daughter or child. The writing helps you to slow down and take it in. And inserting your name will help make it more personal for you.
  2. Write a letter back to the Father in response. Tell Him whatever is on your heart as you read through it.
  3. Look up the verses and use them to write declarations or I Am Statements. If you’ve never done that before, I have another VIDEO you can watch.

You have lots of options! Start by printing off the Scripture Cultivations Plan for free.

What are Scripture Cultivations?

If you’re new to the Figs Community, you may be wondering why I call them Scripture Cultivations  instead of a Scripture Writing Plan or Scripture Reading Plan. Hop on over to this page to find out more.

Listening Prayers: Quiet the Soul and Learn to Hear God

Unlike other forms of prayer where we might be more focused on sharing our requests or even worshipping God – both of which He invites us to do– in Listening Prayers we pause in quiet stillness, creating space for God to speak into our hearts. This is a time for intentional listening, where we set aside our words and let God lead the conversation.
